Trail Overview

Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve is one of the best places in the world to observe and photograph tigers in the tiger. Located in the Sawai Madhopur District of Rajasthan state, it lies at the junction of the Aravalli and Vindhya hill range. It is one of the preserved places where one can easily sight the magnificent Royal Bengal Tiger. What makes it so special is that all the animals are used to being stared at all the time so it makes watching them easier. The park covers an area of approximately 400 sq Km and if combined it with the area of Sawai Mansingh Sanctuary, it is around 500 Sq km. The national park is named after the Ranthambore Fort which sits atop a hill, looking over the forested area.
